Dr. Kevin Bounds founded Plastic Surgery of Virginia Beach in 1990, providing high-quality procedures and treatments in an AAAASF-accredited surgical facility across from Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. Dr. Bounds is an experienced plastic surgeon who is board-certified by the prestigious American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Medical Society of Virginia and the Virginia Society for Plastic Surgeons.

What Does it Mean When a Facility is Accredited?
The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) has certified surgical facilities in the United States since 1980 and is considered the gold standard in accreditation. The organization certifies healthcare facilities to improve the quality of healthcare services and standardize processes with an emphasis on patient safety.
AAAASF rebranded to QUAD A in 2022 as they now provide the same certification process for domestic and international markets. The globally recognized organization was founded by and continues to be led by physicians. It maintains its high standards for patient care by pooling patient safety data from accredited facilities to identify areas for improvement and adjust criteria accordingly.
